Tucked away on Goldhurst Terrace, you’ll find Spice Deli, a cosy little independent café with great food and friendly faces. As a family-run business, they pour their hearts into everything they do, from brewing the perfect cup of coffee to making delicious dishes and desserts.
Open every day until 4pm, you’ll feel welcomed whether it’s a meal for one or bringing a group of friends. Walking in, it seems like a small café, but there is plenty of seating downstairs for big groups.
Their menu is a celebration of spices and flavours from around the world. From Turkey to India to all the way to North Africa. Every item on the menu is made in-house, with love and care, which is exactly why all the locals keep coming back.
Start your day with their Cilbir – poached eggs on whipped garlicky yogurt, drizzled with hot chilli butter. Super creamy with just the right amount of spice. It’s light and refreshing, perfect for a sunny day.
For something heartier, try their Shakshuka – baked eggs on a harissa spiced, charred red pepper and tomato stew. It's comfort food at its finest, perfect for brunch or, let’s be honest, any time of day.
If you have more of a sweet tooth, there’s also something for you. Cardamom Pancakes piled high with caramelised bananas, jaggery syrup and pistachios.
Or their Cardamom Cinnamon Buns – deliciousness, with a drizzle of honey syrup and plenty of pecans.
And don't get us started on their bakery section. They have so many different cakes and treats you can choose from.
In addition to their regular menu, Spice Deli hosts monthly supper clubs. It’s the perfect chance to sample new flavours, and also make new friends if you’re new to the area. For a special treat, email kim@spicedeli.co.uk and mention 'The Quarters,' you'll get 10% off your booking for their next supper club event on Saturday 23rd March.
So don't walk, run. And let us know what your favourite dish was!
